A Tree Grows In...

Boston?

Our friend Melissa has done something awesome. What you ask? She's purchased herself a little slice of heaven in the middle of beantown - a plot in a community garden. Melissa entered herself into the lottery put on by the Berkeley Community Garden and won the plot for the modest cost of $40 per year. Isn't that so cool? She'll be growing all sorts of plants and produce, and we've decided to track her progress as a budding green thumb, doing her part to keep it local. Here are a few pictures of the 14x8 plot she'll be farming this season, as it was when she first got it in the beginning of the month. Stay tuned for updates!
