Bringing back that Old School Dinner Dance...

This weekend we are so happy to be working with the Stonington Historical Society on their 11th annual fundraiser. In years past they've had gorgeous tented events down at the historic lighthouse, but this year they've decided to change it up a bit, and we're planning this fabulous fete at the MOST fabulous Saltwater Farm Vineyard. The vineyard is a truly remarkable venue that we've had the pleasure of working in a good handful of times over the past two years. It stands apart from most of the area venues because of its truly unique decor - dark woods, concrete floors, stone, and metal fixtures really create a subtle and sophisticated backdrop for any event.

The decorating committee for the SHS fundraiser has been hard at work with the 'design scheme' - choosing an ultra modern and chic color palette of grey, white, and black, with pops of color in a truly unique flower arrangement. Dinner will be 'duck and scallops', a classic pairing and a nod to one of Stonington (and certainly Gourmet Galley)'s favorite restaurants - the Water Street Cafe. After dining, the room will transform to a 1950s swing club, as guests dance the night away to the Tuey Connell Band.

We're so looking forward to this party, it's sure to be a smash!
