A Little Something for your Sweetheart

Valentines Week is upon us! Since we are an organization of mostly women {Sorry, Tim}, we take Valentine's Day very seriously. Not seriously in an annoying way, but we like to give it its due. Chocolate, candy conversation hearts, red roses, romantic music - we love it all. And while we are busy busy assembling valentines for all of our favorite clients {past and present}, we thought it might be nice to take this week to share some Valentines magic with you.

Below you'll find a list of foods which are natural aphrodisiacs. We've also suggested one or two ways to incorporate them into your Valentines Menu

Figs... {Broiled Port Wine Soaked Figs with Goat Cheese and Balsamic Drizzle}
Almonds... {Whole Salted Almonds to nibble on or perhaps an Almond Tuille Cookies for Dessert}
Avocado... {Chilled Avocado Soup with Creme Fraiche and Green Onions - First Course}
Bananas... {Banana Chocolate Cream Pie for Dessert}
Chocolate... {Anything goes...}
Oysters... {Served on the Half Shell with Classic Mignonette, Oyster Stew}
Pineapple... {Dipped in Chocolate, Roasted and served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream}
Vanilla... {Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream}
Wine... {We love Porta Sole Montepulciano, and Jonathan Edwards Zinfandel Port with Dessert}
Strawberries... {Dipped in Chocolate - Classic}
Asparagus... {Roasted with Garlic and Olive Oil, or in a Red Wine Risotto with Mushrooms}
Basil... {Pesto for a pasta course, or even just a fragrant bunch on the counter to liven up the kitchen}
Carrots... {Pureed with Thyme for a nice alternative to Mashed Potatoes}
Coffee... {Coffee Ice Cream for your Chocolate Cake, Coffee and Raspberry Tiramisu}
Ginger... {Perhaps as a nice compliment to a healthful Asian-Inspired Stir Fry}
Honey... {Infused with Lavender and served over any roasted Stone Fruit - Perfect Dessert}
Licorice... {A sip of Anisette is a lovely way to end any meal}
Mustard... {Mustard Roasted Salmon is an elegant, simple supper}
Nutmeg... {Grated over Hot Chocolate or perhaps a sprinkle in your Bolognese}
Raspberries... {Raspberry Mousse, Raspberry Clafouti, plain ol' raspberries with Whipped Cream}

Did we miss anything? Let us know if you have a favorite V-Day Recipe!
