Bondi Likey

"May your 2010 be full of lobster rolls and joy."

I received this greeting card this past weekend with the above image and message from one of our most fabulous couples - Joe and Jessica Bondi. What makes them so special you ask? Well, besides their love of food and beyond-chic sense of style and taste, they're family! Joe is Anna Lathrop's brother, and Jess is his new wife.
We were both delighted and honored to cater their wedding this past August at Harkness Mansion in Waterford.

Below find a few images captured by the uber-talented Bryce Vickmarck.

Joe and Jess embody what it means to be a foodie. Accordingly and as with many of our brides and grooms, the menu was very important. Dinner was served family style and featured (among many other things) a first course tomato salad with tomatoes from Anna and Joe's father Ken's garden, a mixed grill with spice rubbed steak and wild boar sausage, rustic grilled vegetables and a cold pasta which was perfect for the warm summer evening.

We used vintage mason jars from the groom's mother's collection to light the guest's way out onto the magnificent Harkness lawn. One last fabulous touch, of course.

Congratulations Joe and Jessica on a wedding well done. Despite the rainy start, the sun came out to shine that day and no two people deserved it more. Here's to a wonderful 2010 full of love, happiness, and those tasty lobster rolls - they'll be waiting for you anytime you come back to CT!
